Pitchfork Media
A major new series out of New York, Wordless Music pairs rock and electronic musicians in an intimate concert setting with classical and chamber music performers. Wordless Music brings diverse audiences together and introduces listeners of both classical and contemporary music to composers that they might not otherwise encounter, for a completely new concert experience.

Andrew Broder
Andrew Broder is a Minneapolis-based musician and leader of the avant-rock band Fog, whose hands are in everything from turntables to folk, metal to hip-hop, defying genre and expectation. For his Wordless Music debut, Andrew will be playing a set of solo guitar in a style he has spent the past year developing. Influenced in equal parts by Black Metal, 20th-century classical and ambient music, Broder punctuates achingly beautiful melodies with moments of apocalyptic urgency via multi-layered and looped improvisation.
Owen Weaver
Aiming to wrest classical music from its traditional home in concert halls, Owen Weaver delivers the dreamlike textures, soaring harmonies, and boundless fervor of classical music to unsuspecting audiences. Active as a soloist and chamber musician, and a member of the flute/percussion duo Undertow, classical percussionist Weaver will interpret works written for piano through the rich acoustics of the marimba, contrasted by the intensity of a rhythmic piece between the two. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in percussion performance at the University of Texas at Austin.
Cepia
After playing bass guitar in several different bands over the last decade, Minneapolis native Huntley Miller began his foray into electronic composition under the moniker Cepia, giving the “listening music” genre a much-needed eye opener. A soft, steady shower of rustles and squeaks underscores the seamless tapestry of mournful melodies and driving, mechanical rhythms explored within the tracks. The Cepia sound is complex yet accessible, enveloping the listener and offering new discoveries with every listen.
