Artist Philosophy
The constant in my dance life has always been change. At times, I have struggled against it only to relearn its necessity to my growth. I strive to release attachment to comfortable patterns and enter each new choreographic world with all my senses open. I see choreography as language. My goal is to be fluent not only in the vocabulary, but also the dialect. In performance, I try my best to open myself without reservation in order to communicate fully with the audience and my fellow performers. I am forever grateful to the many choreographers who have trusted me with their words, and to the dancers I’ve been privileged to converse with on stage.
