Your monthly or annual membership fee allows you to attend as many resident company performances at the Southern Theater as you wish. Go see one play this month; or indulge in a dance performance Friday night and a new play Saturday night. There is never a limit to the number of shows you may see. See one show five times, or 25 shows one time.
Each year our season is comprised of Resident Companies, Guest Resident Companies, and special performances. Our ticketing page will always clearly indicate if a show is free to ARTshare members. Additionally, our Season Brochure indicates all of the performances available to ARTshare members. Finally, we email our members weekly to let them know what is coming up that week that is Free for members. If you ever have any questions you can contact our box office via email.
No, but we do require 30 days notice to cancel your account. You can let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the office at (612) 340-0155.
Yep, everything’s included. No extra fees. Clean and simple. To ensure seating for a specific performance, just go online and reserve a General Admission seat for the show you’d like to attend.
Why the cap? We wanted to ensure every ARTshare member has the opportunity of a seat available to them for all productions performed by the resident companies.
Unfortunately no. Seating is subject to availability. You will always have the option of taking a seat if seats are available. If you show up at the Southern and all the seats for a particular performance have been pre-reserved (or sold) you won’t be able to get into that performance. But don’t worry: there are dozens of performances to which you may pre-reserve a seat.
Nope. At the Southern Theater, all seats are General Admission. If you want a specific seat or seating area in the theater, we encourage you to arrive early to secure your desired seat. But don’t worry, there’s not a bad seat in the house.
As Douglas Adams said “Don’t Panic”. Just call our box office at 612.326.1811 or email them. Member admissions will be held until 10 minutes prior to the performance. After that, they are released as single tickets at the door.
There’s no catch, no hidden agenda. For a one-year commitment of $18 per month, you have unlimited access to a variety of productions by some amazing performance groups. Your membership helps build a healthy “arts ecosystem”, supporting resident companies artistically and financially, and exposing audiences like you to their work.
If you purchase the monthly option your card will be charged immediately and then each month on the same day of your initial purchase.
Yes! In fact bring two. Every ARTshare membership comes with two monthly bonus complimentary tickets. To redeem these tickets call our box office or show up with your friends. Note that online reservations for bonus comp tickets is not available at this time.
Absolutely! What a great gift. You can designate a membership to someone you know or add a membership to your account so you can always bring a friend or loved one no matter how many times you see a show.

With an ARTshare membership you can attend an unlimited amount of performances at the Southern Theater. With more than 25 Twin Cities performing arts organizations participating, ARTshare members can explore exciting, new productions—numerous performances every month—, all year long.
ARTshare memberships are $18 a month or $216 a year. We also have a student membership for $144 or $12 a month. Our $18 and $12 a month programs renew annually without the need to purchase again. Our annual memberships need to be purchased every year, but don’t worry we’ll let you know when your membership is nearly complete so you can get another one.
At this time we offer only individual memberships. We hope to offer other membership packages in the future. (Baby steps.)
Yes, you’ll receive login info for our website tied to the email you signed up with. That login info allows you to reserve tickets for any ARTshare production. You can also call our box office at any time to reserve tickets over the phone.
