Monster Heart is a dreamlike adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein that intertwines Mary and Percy Shelley’s love affair with that of Victor Frankenstein and his Creature in an exploration of what it means to ‘make a monster.’ Blending dramatic text with dynamic physicality, singing and puppetry, this unconventional love story takes the audience on a journey that moves from graveyard to laboratory to society salon, revealing the labor of creation, the quest for immortality, the rejection of the ‘other’ in society, and a struggle to love in the midst of it all.
